As well as breed classes it also features highly prestigeous  reining events. Members of the 2018 World Equestrian Games gold medal team, Dan Huss was making his final appearance at the show with Ms Dreamy, when her bridle broke.</description>

      <description>Reiners thrilled the fans in Tryon as 63 horse-and-rider combinations representing 20 National Federations laid down impressive runs paid back by the judges with great scores. The Team Competition counted 12 full teams and, with a phenomenal 681 composite, Team USA clinched its fifth consecutive team gold medal. First to enter the pen on home turf was Casey Deary riding Hilldale Farm’s Heavy Duty Chex; the pair marked a 223.5. With five horses left to show in the first section, Team USA’s youngest rider, 18-year-old Cade McCutcheon, laid down an impressive performance aboard Custom Made Gun, a 7-year-old stallion owned by his grandparents, Tim and Colleen McQuay. Once he closed his run, a 229 appeared on the score board.</description>

Riding the athletic American Quarter Horse stallion Smart N Sparkin, owned by Golden Paint Ranch, Fonck performed an outstanding pattern which led to a 225 score.</description>

The heat of the competition could be felt from the very first moment the in-gate opened but it wasn’t until the last rider of the day would perform that the final placings would be determined.</description>

      <description>&lt;div&gt;Reining has gained significant ground since being adopted by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) in 2000 as its first western discipline. Two years later, reining made its debut at the 2002 FEI World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. In 2008, the very first FEI World Reining Championships for Seniors event held in Manerbio, Italy, marked the first time in the history of the sport with FEI medals awarded outside the World Equestrian Games (WEG). On home ground, Italy took the team gold and U.S.A. rounded the event by claiming the individual gold.&lt;/div&gt;
